Perfect for a day trip or weekend getaway on the Rail trails in SouthEast Queensland

Looking for a thrilling adventure that takes you through some of the most beautiful landscapes in South East Queensland? Look no further than @ecoTekkSC, your go-to choice for renting high-quality mountain e-bikes to explore the region’s incredible rail trails.

Our sub-tropical backyard is the perfect setting for an unforgettable biking experience. From the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail to the Kilkivan to Kingaroy Rail Trail, there are plenty of options to choose from, each with its own unique features and sights to see.

The Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, Australia’s longest recreational rail trail, covers a distance of 161km from Wulkuraka to Yarraman, following the old railway line that was originally built in the 1880s to transport timber, milk, and beef. Along the way, you’ll encounter wild rural landscapes, historic landmarks, and picturesque country towns.

For a different kind of adventure, the Kilkivan to Kingaroy Rail Trail takes you through farmland and bushland, with plenty of opportunities to stop for a cuppa and soak up some local history.

One trail that’s not to be missed is the Ewen Maddock Dam Trail, named after an early European settler and local pioneer. This trail follows the banks of the dam and is designed with beginners in mind, making it a great choice for families or anyone looking for a leisurely ride. You can combine this with the Dularcha National Park Trail making a loop that passes through Mooloolah, where you can enjoy a break with delicious food and drinks at Jones Street Kitchen.

As you pedal through blackbutt forests, fern gullies, and melaleuca wetlands, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to stop and soak up the stunning views of the dam and Mount Beerwah towering over the landscape in the distance. Keep your eyes peeled for local wildlife, both in the trees and in the waters of the dam.

Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting out, our e-bikes are designed to handle any trail you encounter, making your ride both exhilarating and safe. And with South East Queensland being beautiful one day, and perfect the next, there’s no better time to get out and explore the rail trails of South East Queensland.

So what are you waiting for? Contact @ecoTekkSC today to rent your mountain e-bike and start your next adventure on the rail trails of South East Queensland!

Caution: Riding Within Your e-MTB’s Limits

Our e-MTBs are built for exploring — forest trails, fire roads and shared pathways across the Sunshine Coast and S.E.Q. Rail Trails — but they’re not designed for jumps, drops, or airtime (not for mountain goating). Each bike is fitted with a quick-release axle (not a thru-axle), so we ask all riders to keep both wheels on the ground and enjoy the trail rather than the trick.

If you’re on a trial ride, please keep your speed under 25km/h. This gives you time to get a feel for the bike, the terrain and the e-Assist before you head out further.

Ride within these guidelines, and your e-MTB will get you further, safer

Family-Friendly e-MTB Adventures

ecoTekkSC e-MTB hire makes it easy for families to ride together, even with different ages and abilities.

  • Ride together at the same pace with electric assist

  • Perfect for family adventures at Ewen Maddock Dam and Parklands Conservation Park
  • Options available for kids, teens, and adults

Electric mountain bikes turn trail riding into a fun, shared family experience, where everyone can enjoy the ride without struggling on hills or over distance.
